Temporary NHS Cleaner: Decontamination & Safety

Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Cleaner to join Bridgewater NHS Foundation Trust on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm).

Duties include following decontamination and cleaning procedures for multiple equipment types, ensuring safe use of decontamination machinery, COSHH compliance, and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Follow decontamination/cleaning procedures for equipment (industrial washer, pressure washer, steam cleaner, vacuum cleaner).
• Adhere to safety protocols and manufacturers' instructions.
• Use chemical cleaning agents in accordance with COSHH guidelines and wear PPE.
• Initiate contingency arrangements when equipment is removed or isolated for inspection/repair.
• Keep warehouse and car park area clean and tidy per risk assessments and Health & Safety regulations.
