Job summary

Exclusive Household Staff is seeking a Temporary Housekeeper/Household Assistant for a short-term assignment from 29th September to 9th October. The family will be based between Windsor and Reading, so travel between locations is preferred.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Grade 1 listed properties, UHNW households or five-star hotels, with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work to the highest standards in a private residence. Driving SUVs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping: bathrooms, dusting, polishing, vacuuming.
• Hotel-standard bed making and care of the property.

• Wardrobe organisation and packing/unpacking.
• Light cooking and food preparation; daily plant/waste duties.

Windsor & Reading , Salary: £25 gross per hour

Temporary Housekeeper/Household Assistant

We are currently seeking an exceptional Temporary Housekeeper to join a private household for a short-term assignment from 29th September to Friday 9th October.

The family will be based between their Windsor home and Estate in Reading, so candidates who are able to travel comfortably between both locations are preferred.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within Grade 1 listed properties, UHNW private households and/or five-star hotels, with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to work to the highest standards.

Duties

• Full housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms, dusting, polishing and vacuuming
• Hotel-standard bed making and meticulous care of the property
• Laundry and ironing, including the care of fine clothing and delicate fabrics
• Wardrobe and cupboard organisation
• Packing and unpacking luggage
• Deep cleaning as required
• Emptying bins and taking items to the recycling centre
• Unboxing deliveries and disposing of packaging
• Shredding confidential paperwork
• Maintaining household stocks of cleaning products and toiletries
• Household shopping and errands
• Liaising with the PA regarding household contractors, including bookings and appointments
• Light cooking and food preparation
• Maintaining outdoor areas and garden furniture
• Watering plants and liaising with the gardening team
• Cleaning three family vehicles, including refuelling and arranging vehicle appointments where required
• Daily dog walking, feeding, grooming and general care
• Driving SUVs when required

Candidate Profile

This is a short-term position requiring someone who is highly experienced, polished, proactive and exceptionally detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently within a private household and accustomed to maintaining properties to an extremely high standard.

An experienced driver who is comfortable driving SUVs is essential, along with a willingness to assist across all areas of the household as required.
