Exclusive Household Staff is seeking an experienced and proactive weekend Housekeeper for a private family in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. You will work alongside the full-time weekday housekeeper to maintain high standards across a large home.

Schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2pm–5pm, with an initial 2-week assignment starting this weekend. Salary offered is £20–£23 per hour, with a discreet, self-motivated approach and the ability to anticipate needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a private household is desirable.
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently.
• Flexible and willing to assist where needed.

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping of a large private residence.
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas.
• Laundry care including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organisation.
• Bed making and changing bed linen.
• Maintaining high standards across the home.
• Managing household supplies and informing the family of needs.
• Preparing the property ahead of the family's return after travel.
• Keeping household organisation and day-to-day tasks in order.
• Assisting with simple family cooking and children's meals when required.
• Occasional support to the family and ad hoc tasks for the mother.
• Liaising with the nanny and other household staff as needed.
• Assisting with care of the family's small dog as required.
• Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring the property remains well-presented.

A warm and welcoming private family based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced and proactive temporary weekend Housekeeper to join their household, working alongside the full time Monday - Friday Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of their large family home. Ideally starting this weekend.

The household comprises two adults, two young children, a nanny, and a small dog. This is a predominantly housekeeping-focused role, suited to a discreet, organised, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards within a private residence.

The family is looking for someone who is happy working quietly in the background, anticipating the needs of the household and ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping of a large private residence
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas
• Laundry care, including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organisation
• Bed making and changing bed linen
• Ensuring the home is consistently maintained to a high standard
• Managing household supplies and informing the family of any requirements
• Preparing the property ahead of the family's return following travel periods
• Keeping on top of household organisation and day-to-day tasks
• Assisting with simple family cooking and children's meals when required
• Providing occasional support to the family and assisting the mother with ad hoc household-related tasks
• Liaising effectively with the nanny and other household support where necessary
• Assisting with the care and wellbeing of the family's small dog as required
• Reporting any maintenance issues and ensuring the property remains well-presented at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working within a private household is highly desirable
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently
• Flexible and willing to assist where needed
• Comfortable working in a family environment with young children
• Happy to provide occasional childcare support if required (a nanny is employed and has primary responsibility for the children)
