Job summary

Day Lewis Pharmacy is seeking a temporary, self-employed Delivery Driver for a 6-week period starting 7 November. The role is based in East Bergholt, Suffolk, delivering prescriptions to private residences, nursing and residential homes. Pay is £2.45 per drop, with deliveries ideally Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in the PM.

• Delivery driver role in a pharmacy environment.
• Self-employed, temporary contract for 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Collect prescriptions from the Pharmacy and deliver to patients as per SOP.
• Complete all required paperwork to maintain an audit trail.
• May be asked to pick up prescriptions from other Pharmacies in the area.
• Provide high standards of customer service and present a professional company image.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols and protect customer confidentiality.

As a Delivery Driver you will reportdirectly to the Pharmacist Manager, your support is vital to the team in the provision of advanced and enhanced services.

• To collect prescriptions from the Pharmacy and deliver to patients as detailed in the standard operating procedure.
• To ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed to ensure an audit trail is available
• You may be asked to pick up Prescriptions from other Pharmacies in the area
• To work to high standards of customer service
• To presenting a professional image of the Company by acting as an ambassador.
• To ensure all company procedures and protocols are followed.
• To respect the confidentiality of information concerning customers and adhere to the Data Protection Act.
