Job summary

The role is 3 months, office-based, with an hourly rate of £15.00–£16.00, starting 1st October. The successful candidate will manage customer accounts, chase payments and work across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Proactively chase outstanding payments by phone and email.
• Monitor accounts and ensure payments are received within terms.
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate records.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Reconcile customer accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Issue statements, copies, and reminders to customers.
• Maintain records of collection activity and correspondence.
• Support aged debt reporting and liaise with internal teams.
• Use Excel to analyse and update financial data.
• Assist with wider finance duties as required.

Temporary Credit Controller

Location: Uxbridge - Office Based
Hourly Rate: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
Duration: 3-month temporary booking
Start Date: 1st October
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time

We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team in Uxbridge on an initial 3-month temporary basis.

This role would suit someone who is confident managing customer accounts, chasing outstanding payments and working across different systems. Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly pick up new systems are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively chase outstanding customer payments by telephone and email
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure payments are received within agreed terms
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate account records
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries
• Reconcile customer accounts and identify outstanding or incorrectly allocated items
• Issue statements, copy invoices and payment reminders
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer correspondence
• Assist with aged debt reporting and provide updates on outstanding balancesLiaise with internal teams to resolve account and invoice queries
• Use Excel to maintain, analyse and update financial information
• Support the wider finance team with additional duties as required

About You

• Previous Credit Control / Accounts Receivable experience
• Confident chasing outstanding debt and speaking with customers
• Strong Excel skills are essential
• System savvy, with the ability to learn new finance systems quickly
• Good numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Organised and able to manage a busy workload
• Confident telephone and written communication skills
• Available to start 1st October and commit to the 3-month booking

£15.00 - £16.00 per hour Uxbridge 3 Months Starting 1st October
