Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for a temporary FLT Counterbalance Truck Driver in Birmingham. The role involves operating a counterbalance forklift in a manufacturing setting, conducting pre-shift checks and transporting materials to and from production cells. A valid UK counterbalance licence and prior forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK counterbalance forklift licence is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating counterbalance forklifts.
• Experience with stillages and other material handling equipment.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift vehicle checks to ensure forklift is safe before each shift.
• Transport packaging materials to and from production cells efficiently and safely.
• Move finished stock and store it securely in designated areas.
• Report any faults or damage to the forklift to the Team Leader or Shift Manager immediately.
• Adhere to all plant procedures and safety protocols during daily operations.
• Support manufacturing processes by ensuring timely movement of materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
