Job summary

West Suffolk Council is seeking a confident Temporary Families and Communities Officer to support the Lakenheath Pride in Place programme and manage the 10-Year Vision and 4-Year Investment Plan, including procurement, financial oversight and performance management. The role requires strong partnership working to improve local outcomes, with day-to-day duties across partner organisations.

You will work at least three days a week in Lakenheath and engage across public, voluntary and private

Qualifications

• Strong track record of working in partnership to make a real difference to local communities.
• Excellent relationship building, communicating and influencing skills.
• Deep understanding of community development approaches.
• Experience or awareness of working in a political environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Lakenheath Pride in Place Board chair and day-to-day programme management of the Lakenheath Pride in Place 10-Year Vision and 4-Year Investment Plan, including procurement, financial oversight, compliance and performance management.
• Work with a wide range of partners (public, voluntary and private sector) to improve community outcomes and life in the area.
• Deliver activities and contribute to the council’s wider agenda, working at least three days a week in Lakenheath.
