Job summary

Glendola Leisure in Edinburgh's Le Monde Hotel central kitchen is recruiting a Temporary Chef for the festive season (Nov–Jan). You’ll assist the Head Chef, ensuring top-quality ingredients and hygiene while handling busy periods.

New Year’s Eve availability is essential; potential for continued employment beyond the temporary contract. Responsibilities include helping with food prep, minimising wastage, and learning in a fast-paced setting.

Le Monde, a chic boutique hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, is home to our Central Kitchen. This busy production kitchen supports our businesses throughout Edinburgh, as well as delivering Le Monde's food menu with fresh, high-quality food and consistent service standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Chef to join our team for the festive season, from November until the beginning of January. New Year's Eve availability is essential; however, we are closed on Christmas Day. There is the potential for a continuation of employment beyond the temporary contract for the right candidate.

Helping the Head Chef to deliver exciting menus, you’ll be focused on ensuring high-quality products are used and enabling the highest standards of health and hygiene – even when the pressure is on. You’ll also help to minimise wastage and support your team by helping with food prep and learning whenever required. Ideally, you’ll have experience gained in a similarly busy and dynamic environment. If this sounds like what you'd like to do for work, then this is the right place for you.
