You will be based at our modern, purpose-built Head Office in the vibrant city center of Cardiff. Cardiff is an accessible city with strong transport links, and London is only 2 hours away by train.

The role

As a Buyer, you will assist in developing, sourcing, and delivering on-trend, commercially focused ranges that drive profit and enhance the Peacocks brand. You will be part of our close-knit Head Office team, ensuring our ranges align with our brand vision and strategy.

Responsibilities/Objectives:

1. Plan and build a commercially balanced range, achieving margin targets set by the company.
2. Drive regular departmental product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments on trends, looks, and color palettes.
3. Operate an effective and timely product sign-off process in line with the critical path and planning cycle.
4. Take ownership of the critical path, ensuring deadlines are met, issues are raised, and action plans are communicated and implemented.
5. Review and analyze sales data to identify top-performing products, making data-driven decisions for future lines and improvements.
6. Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal products, prices, and contract terms, leveraging supplier expertise.
7. Lead meetings at Director/Head level, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of actions.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful launch of new product lines and seasonal collections.
9. Work with the merchandising team to monitor and control trade, ensuring stock turn, margin targets, and profit levels are achieved.
