Job summary

Assistant Site Manager required in Barnsley, S70 to join a respected UK house-builder on a multi-plot new-build development. This temporary role starts ASAP and demands a proven track record delivering volume housing to NHBC standards on timber frame and traditional builds.

You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, ensure health and safety compliance, drive quality, and oversee snagging, handover, and client liaison, reporting to the Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in site management or similar on housing sites
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety practices

Responsibilities

• Adhere to quality standards and manage defects and workmanship schedules
• Lead and coordinate the site team and subcontractors
• Ensure NHBC standards, site safety, and quality procedures are followed
• Coordinate with inspectors and internal departments
• Manage site facilities, welfare, and site documentation
• Oversee snagging, customer care, and handover processes
