Job description

An education provider based on the outskirts of Malton is currently looking for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for 3-4 months ongoing, in a part-time role. On offer is an hourly rate of between circa £14 and £15.50 per hour, depending on the successful candidate's experience and skill set.

Reporting into the Bursar, key responsibilities for the Temporary Accounts Assistant will include:

• Managing and maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Other ad hoc duties, as required.

To be successful in this Temporary Accounts Assistant role, you will ideally have:

• Experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or a similar opportunity.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in accountancy software, such as Sage
• A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ledger management, bank reconciliation, payment processing, and familiarity with Sage software. I would also be keen to speak with people who have previously held roles as Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk or Bookkeeper and are looking for their next temporary assignment, where they can apply their skill set.

Based on the outskirts of Malton, this role is easily commutable from Scarborough, Pickering, Sheriff Hutton, Norton, Flaxton, Stillington, as well as central or outskirts of Malton and surrounding areas, with onsite parking available.
