Job summary

QS Recruitment in Hinckley (LE10) is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. You will support manufacture, handling, quality checking and packaging of goods, while following production procedures and safety instructions.

Typical duties include operating machinery, reading barcodes and orders, handling raw materials, quality checking, packing, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace to meet targets. The role is temporary with paid holidays, and hours may vary.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Use of hand tools and machinery.
• Good written and spoken English to ensure accurate understanding of instructions.
• Ability to spot anomalies and rectify accordingly.
• Great attention to detail, understanding of health & safety and communicate effectively.

Job Description

Are you looking for a new role to demonstrate your skills as a Production Operative?

We are seeking an experienced Production Operative to join a small, vibrant and busy manufacturing team based in Hinckley (LE10). The successful candidate will play an important role within the production facility, supporting the manufacture, handling, quality checking and packaging of goods. You will be expected to work efficiently and safely while following production procedures and instructions.

You can expect the following daily tasks:

• Operating production machinery, using hand tools and manufacturing goods
• Reading / processing barcodes, purchase orders and material orders
• Preparing, handling and moving raw materials
• Sampling and quality checking products
• Packing, wrapping and palletising the finished goods
• Stock takes, identifying incorrect products/ procedures and keeping a clean work environment
• Meeting production targets.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £12.71 an hour. Holiday pay will be accrued up to 28 days per year (pro rata). We do not accept Visa Sponsorships.

Working Hours: This role is Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30, however you must be flexible and available to work 5 days per week in the future, depending on the needs of the business.
