We’re supporting a leading Commercial and Corporate Property and Facilities Management Consultancy. Our client is recruiting a Senior Costs Manager for their Nottingham offices. Candidates must hold relevant chartership qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Facilities Management. Candidates from the wider Midlands are welcome, and flexible hours from 16 to 37.5 per week are available, supporting better work/life balance.

The Cost Manager will evaluate technical diagnoses, material specifications, and scope of works, liaising with contractors and operational teams to ensure timely and appropriate repairs, including conducting site visits to assess service requirements.

1. Evaluate and challenge technical diagnoses, material specifications, and scopes of work for cost-effectiveness.
2. Collaborate with contractors and operational teams to ensure timely, appropriate repairs and maintenance.
3. Conduct site visits to assess service needs and provide detailed recommendations.
4. Manage budgets, ensuring financial oversight and cost control.
5. Advise on quantity surveying or facilities management, ensuring industry compliance.

Skills & Experience

1. Chartership qualification or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Facilities Management.
2. Proven experience in cost management within property, construction, or facilities sectors.
3. Strong analytical skills to challenge technical details and identify savings.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Proficient in site assessments and report preparation.

The candidate must pass a BPSS check, requiring 5 years of continuous UK address history.
