Job summary

Zohorecruit is looking for a School Catering Assistant to support a school in East Grinstead, United Kingdom. The role is a temporary cover position with ASAP start and finishing on 23rd October 2026.

You will assist with food preparation and service, serve meals to pupils and staff, and help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic while following food hygiene and health & safety procedures. DBS and Food Safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience is preferred.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently and follow site procedures.
• Enhanced DBS preferred.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service.
• Serving meals to pupils and staff.
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic.
• Washing up and cleaning equipment.
