Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking a Quality Technician for a temporary, immediate-start role on a regulated manufacturing site. You will support production by inspecting products, investigating issues and documenting findings to ensure compliance with strict medical quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or technical production, strong maths, and a methodical approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or technical production environment.
• Strong maths skills including ratios and basic algebra.
• Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to write clear, accurate and well-organised documentation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
• A good team player who works well with others to solve technical problems.
• Confident using a PC, including Excel and Word.
• Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA or EU MDR standards would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Investigate quality issues on the production line and find solutions.
• Carry out in‑process and final product acceptance testing.
• Spot and record product and process non‑conformances.
• Take part in material review meetings to deal with non-conformance reports.
• Check device history records and support batch release.
• Enter and retrieve quality data on company systems.
• Carry out site calibration work and keep accurate records.
• Complete environmental monitoring and keep accurate records.
• Check calculations and special instructions before products are processed and released.
• Make decisions on whether raw materials, work in progress and finished products are acceptable.
