Job summary

Office Angels in Witham, Essex, is seeking a Temporary Assistant Conveyancer to support the legal team on plot conveyancing tasks until December. The role offers a busy, hands-on environment and regular hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

You will handle standard conveyancing duties under supervision, assist with documentation, AML checks, and post-completion filings while gaining valuable experience within a compliant legal office.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role; legal support preferred.
• Immediate start preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to support multiple team members.
• Familiarity with legal case management systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plot reservations, engrossments, title checks and completions.
• Support Conveyancers with caseloads.
• Handle standard conveyancing matters under supervision.
• Manage post-completion tasks such as stamp duty returns.
• Assist with lease variations and reversion sales.
• Support AML checks and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to certificates of compliance requests and enquiries.
• Use the case management system to maintain records.
