Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil, UK, is seeking a Skilled Mechanical Coil Winder to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Yeovil. You will manufacture electrical coils and windings, fit components, and test assemblies to exacting aerospace standards.

The role requires experience in mechanical fitting or coil winding, ability to read drawings and specs, and a strong commitment to quality and safety. On-site work with ongoing training in Lean and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting, coil winding, or precision assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions and specifications.
• Understanding of quality standards and working within controlled manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Team-oriented with a proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture electrical coils and windings accurately, safely, and efficiently.
• Produce components and assemblies according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support and Environmental Control Systems equipment.
• Complete assembly and testing activities to aerospace quality standards.
• Perform Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) including stamping and verification.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health & Safety policies.
