Job summary

Eaton Syalon Ltd is assisting a Nottingham-based client to recruit a Temporary Accounts Assistant into their Finance team. The role is office-based with one day of home working available after a successful training period.

You will support month-end tasks, AP/AR processing, reconciliations and liaise with the Revenue Accountant. The position is a 3-month contract reporting to the Head of Finance, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills.
• SAP experience preferred but isn't essential.
• The ability to hold conversations with all levels of business.
• Available to start week commencing 2nd November and commit to the initial 3-month temporary period.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month end accounts preparation.
• Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, correction and other month end journals as required.
• Ownership of the Accounts Payable inbox.
• Ownership of supplier queries and providing timely internal and external responses.
• Ownership of maintaining the Accounts Payable tracker.
• Raise Purchase Orders as required.
• Support with producing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support any upcoming transitions into new systems and tools.
• Support with raising sales invoices with the Revenue Accountant.
• Support with maintaining customer contracts in the Finance system.
• Support with bank reconciliations and postings.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable aged debt collection.
• Assist with cashflow reporting.
• Support VAT return preparation.
