Telford Maintenance Engineer Shift Cover

• Telford

Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will ensure that facilities, equipment, and machinery are effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategies, systems, processes, and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
• Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in Criticality/Obsolescence assessments and implement action plans.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical and engineering drawings.
• Ability to understand and modify ladder logic.
• Ability to write PLC programs.
• Experience with software/hardware integration.
