Overview

Telephony & AV Technician

We have a fantastic contract opportunity for a Telephony & AV Technician to join our Global Investment Banks End User Computing team within the IT department. This role involves administrating the Cisco desk telephone system, supporting mobile and desk phone handsets, and maintaining AV meeting room equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong background in telephony and AV support and administration. This is a 1 person position where you will own the role.

Responsibilities
  • Administer the Cisco IP Telephony system, including desk phone deployment, collection, and Jabber phone account administration.
  • Support Cisco video conferencing systems across 30 AV meeting rooms, including conducting daily morning checks.
  • Provide support for the Broadcasting Studio, assisting with the recording and broadcasting equipment used for live internal announcements.
  • Install and support mobile phone applications and hardware for 700 devices (Samsung & iPhone).
  • Interact daily with users at all levels, including executive management, to resolve issues and support their telephony and AV needs.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar Telephony and AV Technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony and video conferencing systems.
  • Experience with mobile device management, including BlackBerry Work, Samsung, and iPhone.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix hardware component faults independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality IT end-user support.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
