Job summary

Microlise in Reading is seeking a Telematics Engineer to install and service our telematics product portfolio at customer sites across Reading and surrounding areas. You will travel to client sites, install equipment, perform servicing and provide ongoing support.

This field-based role requires a full UK driving licence, and you will receive a company vehicle, with salary from £35,000 depending on experience, plus annual pay reviews and benefits including private medical insurance and generous

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role; auto electrics and/or telematics.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules.
• Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret these.
• Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences.
• Be able to work autonomously, solve problems independently and adhere to agreed processes.
• Take pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into our customer's assets.
• Timely visits to customer sites to undertake installation, servicing and continued support of our product suite.
• Inventory management.
• Maintain safety of vehicle and provided tools/equipment.
• Liaise with customers at all levels.
• Provide support to peers and contractor resources where required.
• Ensure administration is concise, accurate and professional.
• Adhere to internal processes and procedures.
• Report on statistical information when required.
