Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced telehandler driver for an ongoing contract on a major commercial construction project in Bishop Auckland. You will work closely with the Site Manager and logistics team to keep material movements and lifts running safely and on schedule.

The role requires a CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card, solid site experience, full PPE, and a UK driving licence. Based in Bishop Auckland, this is a long-term site-based position with reliable hours.

Qualifications

• Solid experience operating a Telescopic Handler on commercial or industrial sites.
• Strong commitment to site health and safety standards.
• Must hold CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card.
• Full PPE must be worn on site.
• Able to communicate clearly with site team and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a telescopic handler across a busy commercial construction site.
• Unloading delivery lorries and staging materials and equipment.
• Assisting sub-contractors with material lifts and overhead operations.
• Carrying out daily pre-use plant checks and logging inspections.
• Enforcing site safety protocols including pedestrian segregation and traffic management.
• Staying on top of housekeeping and keeping the compound organised during downtime.
