Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced telehandler driver for an ongoing commercial construction project in Bishop Auckland. This long-term role involves working with the Site Manager and logistics team to ensure safe, efficient material movements and heavy lifts on site.

Candidates must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card, demonstrate reliability and punctuality, and reside near Bishop Auckland/County Durham. Daily checks and strict safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler category certification required.
• Strong safety culture and adherence to site rules.
• Reliable and punctual with clear communication on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate a telescopic handler safely across a busy construction site.
• Unload deliveries and stage materials and equipment across site storage areas.
• Support sub-contractors with scheduled lifts and material handling.
• Carry out daily pre-use checks and maintain machine cleanliness and safety standards.
• Enforce site safety protocols including pedestrian separation and traffic management.
• Assist with general site housekeeping during downtime and keep the compound organized.
