Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced telehandler driver for an ongoing commercial construction project in Appleby. The role offers a long-term contract with steady hours on a busy site, reporting to the Site Manager and principal contractors.

You will oversee site movement, receive and stage deliveries, and ensure safe, efficient operation of the telescopic handler on site. A valid CPCS/NPORS card is essential, with full UK driving licence and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card required.
• Experience operating telehandlers on commercial construction or civil sites.
• UK Driving Licence.
• Solid health and safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Operate a telescopic handler safely on a commercial construction site.
• Receive, unload and stage deliveries of structural components and other materials.
• Transport materials to precise locations on site to support subcontractors.
• Carry out daily plant pre-checks and logging maintenance.
• Follow site safety protocols including load capacity and banksman instructions.
• Assist with site tidying and maintain a safe working environment.
