Job summary

Contract Personnel are recruiting an experienced Telehandler Operator for a busy recycling plant on the outskirts of Norwich. You will safely operate loading shovels, move materials and contribute to efficient plant operations.

The role is full-time with a 4 on 4 off pattern and 12-hour shifts (06:00-18:00). Weekly pay and 28 days holiday are provided, along with opportunities for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a telehandler operator in recycling or waste environments.
• Valid CPCS or equivalent certification for telehandler operation.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple materials.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate telehandler to move materials within the plant.
• Load/unload materials from containers, vehicles, and stockpiles.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and follow procedures.
• Report faults and carry out basic machine checks.
• Collaborate with site team to meet production goals.

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for one of Norfolk's biggest recycle companies based on the outskirts of Norwich. They're currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the loading shovel to move materials within the plant, including recyclable materials and waste products.
• Load and unload materials from containers, vehicles, and stockpiles.
• Ensure efficient material flow to and from processing areas, while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery, reporting any faults or issues.
• Collaborate with the site team to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed.
• Work closely with supervisors and other staff to meet the recycling plant’s operational requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Telehandler Operator, preferably in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Valid CPCS or equivalent certification for Telehandler operation.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of materials.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.

Job Specifics:

• Full time role working a 4 on 4 off rotational pattern.

• 12 hour shifts, 06:00-18:00
