Job summary

Contract Personnel Limited is recruiting for a Telehandler Operator for a large Norwich-area recycling plant. You will operate the loading shovel to move recyclables and waste, load from containers and stockpiles, and support production goals with safe, efficient material flow.

The role is full-time, with a 4 on 4 off rotation and 12-hour shifts (06:00–18:00). Overtime pay is available, and weekly pay plus 28 days' holiday are offered to the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as Telehandler Operator, preferably in recycling or waste management.
• Valid CPCS or equivalent Telehandler certification.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the loading shovel to move materials within the plant, including recyclable materials and waste products.
• Load and unload materials from containers, vehicles, and stockpiles.
• Ensure efficient material flow to and from processing areas, while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery, reporting any faults or issues.
• Collaborate with the site team to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed.
• Work closely with supervisors and other staff to meet the recycling plant's operational requirements.

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for one of Norfolk's biggest recycle companies based on the outskirts of Norwich. They're currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the loading shovel to move materials within the plant, including recyclable materials and waste products.
• Load and unload materials from containers, vehicles, and stockpiles.
• Ensure efficient material flow to and from processing areas, while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery, reporting any faults or issues.
• Collaborate with the site team to meet production goals and quality standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Telehandler Operator, preferably in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Valid CPCS or equivalent certification for Telehandler operation.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of materials.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.

Job Specifics:

• Full time role working a 4 on 4 off rotational pattern.
