Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Telehandler for on-site work in the Billingshurst area. You will manage material movements, operate the telehandler safely, and ensure loads are secured on site.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CPCS Blue Card or NPORS CSCS and has at least 3 years of hands-on Telehandler experience in a construction environment. This is a full-time, on-site contract position with ongoing assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in construction environments.
• Good understanding of site health & safety procedures is advantageous.
• Able to work as a point of contact in a standalone role.

Responsibilities

• Obtain production schedule copies daily and transport materials around site.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Move goods on pallets or crates and check loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets and perform daily equipment checks (battery charging, lubrication).
• Remove attachments and waste material from machines.

The company:

A well-established regional developer who builds between 30-50 units with a focus on high-end.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

• Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team.
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• You will need a current and valid CPCS (blue) card or NPORS CSCS experienced driver ticket.
• A minimum of 3 years+ experience operating a Telehandler in the same environment.
