Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group on a civil engineering site in Paignton is seeking a Telehandler to transport materials, load and unload goods, and ensure loads are secure. You will perform daily equipment checks, move pallets, and work as part of a safety‑conscious team under the site manager’s direction.

A valid CPCS/NPORS/CSCS certification is preferred, and reliability is essential. Good communication and punctuality are important, with duties also including removing waste material and assisting other

Responsibilities

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets.
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.

The company:

A well established regional contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Telehandler position

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

Previous experience in a Telehandler

You will have a CPCS or NPORS/CSCS

Strong work ethic in a team
