Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an experienced Telehandler Driver for an ongoing contract on a high-volume residential development in Newcastle upon Tyne. Operate a telescopic handler, unload materials, and support bricklayers and carpenters while following site safety rules.

Candidates must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card, have proven telehandler experience on housing schemes, and possess a UK driving licence. based in or commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler (Essential).
• Proven experience operating a Telehandler on residential new build housing schemes.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Must be based in or commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne (Gateshead, North/South Tyneside, or Northumberland).

We are currently recruiting an experienced Telehandler Driver for an ongoing contract role on a high-volume residential new build development in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operating a telescopic handler across an active, busy new build housing development.

Unloading delivery wagons and safely stacking and distributing materials (facing brick packs, blockwork, timber kits, roof trusses).

Servicing bricklayers, joiners, and roofers with planned ground and scaffold loading lifts.

Conducting daily pre-use plant checks, logging machine inspections, and keeping the cab and telehandler clean and well-maintained.

Adhering strictly to site traffic management plans, pedestrian segregation routes, and safe working load limits.

Assisting site management during quiet operating periods with compound organization and general site housekeeping.

What We Are Looking For

Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).

Proven experience operating a Telehandler on residential new build housing schemes.

Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).

Valid UK Driving Licence.

Safety-conscious attitude, dependable work ethic, and excellent punctuality.

Based in or easily commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne (Gateshead, North/South Tyneside, or Northumberland).
