Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced telehandler driver for a long-term contract on a major residential development in Winchburgh. You will work closely with the Site Management team to manage material distribution and ensure lifts are performed safely and efficiently across the scheme.

Responsibilities include daily checks, logging inspections, and assisting trades while maintaining a clean, organized site and adhering to traffic plans and safety rules. UK eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telescopic Handler card.
• Proven experience operating a telehandler on residential new build sites.
• Full PPE provided: hard hat, high-visibility clothing, steel-toe boots.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Excellent punctuality and reliability; clear communication.
• Based in or commutable to Winchburgh (West Lothian / Edinburgh / Falkirk area).

• Enforcing site traffic management plans, safe working load limits, and pedestrian segregation around live plots.
• Stepping off the machine during quieter periods to assist site management with housekeeping.

Job description

We are currently recruiting an experienced telehandler driver for a long-term contract role on a major residential new build development in Winchburgh.

Working closely with the Site Management team and trade subcontractors, you will play a key role in maintaining site logistics, managing material distribution across active plots, and ensuring all lifts are executed safely and efficiently across the scheme.

Role Responsibilities

• Safely operating a telescopic handler across a busy, expanding residential housing site.


• Unloading delivery vehicles and distributing building materials (bricks, blocks, timber, roof trusses) to designated plots.


• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with scheduled overhead and ground material lifts.


• Carrying out daily pre-use plant checks, logging inspections, and maintaining machine cleanliness.


• Enforcing site traffic management plans, safe working load limits, and strict pedestrian segregation around live plots.


• Stepping off the machine during quieter periods to assist site management with general site housekeeping and keeping the compound organised.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).


• Proven experience operating a Telehandler on residential new build housing developments.


• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).


• Valid UK Driving Licence.


• Strong commitment to site health and safety standards.


• Excellent punctuality, reliability, and clear communication skills.


• Based in or easily commutable to Winchburgh (West Lothian / Edinburgh / Falkirk area).
