Job summary

Sitevis LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Telecoms Field Engineer to join a leading telecommunications project supporting Scotland's critical utility infrastructure. You will install, commission, test, and maintain telecoms and IP networking equipment across high-profile client sites.

This role requires hands-on expertise in LAN/WAN/MPLS, power systems, IP telephony, and fault resolution, with on-call support and site surveys as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecoms field engineering and network installations.
• Proficiency with LAN, WAN and MPLS networking.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting telecom infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain telecoms and IP networking equipment.
• Deliver field engineering services across utility telecommunications infrastructure.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as required.
• Conduct site surveys, testing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution.
• Complete project documentation, risk assessments, and handover reports.
• Work closely with project engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards, and customer SLAs.
