Job summary
Our client, a growing UK-based provider of IT, telecoms and technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to join the team. This hands-on, customer-facing role delivers high-quality telecoms and network installations, ongoing support, and upgrades for clients, with a focus on 3CX and Ubiquiti-based WiFi deployments.
You'll install and support VoIP/SIP services, deploy on-site networks, perform site surveys, troubleshoot with Wireshark, and document installations.
Qualifications
- Proven telecoms or IT engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of 3CX systems (preferred).
- Experience with Ubiquiti networking (UniFi).
- Solid networking fundamentals: IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls.
- Experience designing and installing WiFi networks.
Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and support of 3CX systems (on premise and hosted).
- Installation and maintenance of VoIP and SIP services.
- Delivery of onsite and remote telecoms and IT projects.
- Installation and configuration of Ubiquiti (UniFi) networks.
- Design, deployment and optimisation of WiFi solutions including site surveys.
- Troubleshooting network and voice issues using Wireshark.
- Support of connectivity services (FTTP, SoGEA, Ethernet).
- Assisting with upgrades, migrations and improvements.
- Maintaining accurate installation and support documentation.
