Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Authority to provide technical leadership across telecoms infrastructure projects in the UK. You will ensure designs meet operator requirements, industry standards, and project specifications, supporting delivery teams from initial concept through to construction.

You will lead the production of 2D CAD drawings, review designs for technical accuracy, identify risks, and collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in telecoms infrastructure or network design.
• Strong AutoCAD/2D CAD drawing and technical output skills.
• Ability to interpret operator requirements and specifications.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach across design, engineering and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare telecoms site designs in line with operator standards, specifications, and project requirements.
• Produce and review 2D CAD planning and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Provide technical input to designers, project managers, and delivery teams.
• Review designs and identify technical issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Make recommendations for further investigations, surveys, and enabling works where required.
• Act as a technical point of contact for clients, operators, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients and project teams to develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions.
• Support the resolution of design and technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs and technical outputs are delivered to agreed timescales and quality standards.
