Job summary

Virgin Media is seeking self-employed Cable Operatives to work around the Black Country on the VM02 network. You will be at the forefront of constructing, installing, and maintaining telecommunications access networks.

Role involves heavy cable pulling, overhead spans, fibre blowing and strict safety compliance. Driving license and NRSWA/PIA accreditation are required, with 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• Experience with copper, HFC and FTTP networks.
• Ability to support client in-house operations when required.
• Comfortable with technology and learning telecoms infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install and maintain core telecom networks.
• Perform heavy cable pulling, overhead spans and fibre blowing.
• Keep detailed work records using internal database.
• Adhere to Virgin Media's standards and safety regulations.
