Job summary

Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School is seeking a motivated Technology Technician to provide technical support and assistance, including preparing tools, equipment and materials for lessons. The role forms part of a central team and you will work closely with teaching staff to support and develop the department and the experiences of students.

You will ensure equipment and connections are safe and stored for re-use; carry out routine resource tasks; support classroom teachers during practical lessons;

Qualifications

• Having adequate level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English & Maths).
• Experience working in a similar role (or relevant qualifications).
• Ability to create a safe working environment;
• Being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tools, equipment and materials for lessons.
• Ensure equipment and electrical connections and other materials are stored safely and securely for re-use.
• Provide support to classroom teachers during practical lessons via rotaed timetable.
• Follow health and safety instructions and procedures.
