Job summary

Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School on Woodbrooke Rd, Birmingham, is seeking a part-time Technology Technician to provide practical support and help prepare tools and materials for lessons. You will work with teaching staff to support the department and enhance student experiences.

The role requires GCSE English & Maths at grade C or equivalent, plus prior experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications. You must be able to maintain a safe working environment and work proactively on your own

Technology Technician

Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School - Woodbrooke Rd, Birmingham, B30 1UL

15 Hours split across 3 days | Term Time

Start Date: September 2026

Starting Salary (pro rata): £8,631.45 (FTE £24,753.00)

The Role:

Dame Elizabeth is seeking to appoint a motivated Technology Technician to provide technical support and assistance, including the preparation of tools, equipment and materials for lessons. The role forms part of a central team and you will work closely with teaching staff to support and develop the work of the department and the experiences of students.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring equipment and electrical connections and other materials are left/stored in a safe and secure condition, ready for re-use.
  • Undertake routine ‘resource’ tasks, as determined by the needs of the Department/Head of Faculty.
  • Provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher during practical lessons via rotaed timetable.
  • To be aware of, and to comply with, all departmental/school instructions and procedures relating to health and safety at work.
