Job summary

Bradley Stoke Community School is seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support the DT department. You will prepare materials, maintain equipment, and assist teachers in delivering practical lessons, ensuring a safe learning environment for students.

The role involves helping with stock, organising the workshop, and supporting displays and activities within the department. Strong organisation, communication, and health & safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Maintain workshops, classrooms, and storage areas to a high standard.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental policies.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Design & Technology Technician to support our busy and successful DT department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping students develop practical skills and bring creative ideas to life in a safe and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to prepare materials, maintain equipment, and support the delivery of a broad range of Design & Technology lessons.

Key Responsibilities
