i-confidential Limited in London is seeking a Technology Risk & Controls Coordinator for a 6-month contract to support risk, control testing, audit and issue-management activities within the technology function.

The role is hands-on and coordination-focused, owning administration of technology controls and enabling delivery teams to progress governance and risk-management activities on time and to standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technology Risk, IT Controls, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) coordination or similar roles.
• Understanding of technology risk management, control testing, audit processes or issue management.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
• Experience maintaining risk registers, tracking actions and coordinating updates across stakeholders.
• Good attention to detail in control documentation, evidence and reporting.

Technology Risk & Controls Coordinator – Financial Services

Location: London
Contract Duration:6 Months
Day Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)

We are currently looking for a Technology Risk & Controls Coordinator to support one of our financial services clients on a 6-month contract.

The role will support an increasing volume of risk, control testing, audit and issue-management activity across the technology function. This is a hands-on, coordination-focused role, working closely with Technology Managers and Risk & Controls colleagues to ensure that risks, controls, issues and associated action plans are accurately maintained, progressed and closed within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the administration and coordination surrounding technology controls, allowing technical teams to focus on delivery while ensuring that governance and risk-management activities continue to progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and administration of technology risk and control activities across the business.
• Assist with quarterly control testing cycles, ensuring activities are tracked, documented and completed within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain and update risk registers, control records, issues and associated action plans.
• Track outstanding actions, follow up with relevant stakeholders and ensure progress is accurately recorded.
• Support Technology Managers with the preparation and collection of control-testing evidence.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including evidence gathering and tracking remediation activities.
• Maintain accurate records within risk and control management systems, including IBM OpenPages where applicable.
• Produce regular management information (MI), reports and updates on control testing, open issues and overdue actions.
• Work closely with Risk & Controls teams to ensure governance processes are followed and documentation remains up to date.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Technology Risk, IT Controls, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), or similar coordination/support role.
• An understanding of technology risk management, control testing, audit processes or issue management.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and competing deadlines.
• Experience maintaining risk registers, tracking actions and coordinating updates across different stakeholders.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when managing control documentation, evidence and reporting.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to follow up with stakeholders to ensure actions are completed.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with GRC platforms such as IBM OpenPages would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be beneficial.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day coordination of technology risk and control activities. This role would suit someone with an existing background in IT Risk, Technology Controls, IT Governance or Risk & Compliance who enjoys working in a structured, delivery-focused environment.

This is not a senior technical risk or specialist control-design position. The emphasis is on coordination, administration, stakeholder engagement and ensuring that risk and control activities are effectively managed from start to finish.
