You will join the team at an exciting time in our transformation journey. This is an opportunity to shape our direction and contribute to the digitalisation of Centrica. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Centrica's Technology team as Technology Portfolio Manager for Group Functions, reporting to Technology Delivery Director. You will manage Group Functions portfolio of about 40 projects. This is a highly visible role in Group Functions Technology organisation. You will work closely with the Tech Leadership Team developing a group functions technology transformation roadmap and managing its implementation. You will partner with Leadership Teams across Group Functions (HR, Procurement, etc.) to develop and implement their transformation roadmap, enabled by technology (SAP, Workday, Ariba, etc.). The ideal candidate will have experience in building high performing portfolio delivery teams in a multi-modal environment, with strong business acumen and a focus on strategic outcomes. Experience of Technology Portfolio Management in complex environments with a mixture of legacy, modern and emerging technologies will help you be successful in this role. You are likely to be a seasoned Portfolio or Programme Manager, who is able to engage credibly with executive stakeholders developing technology strategy, managing conflicting demands and priorities and who is not afraid to roll up the sleeves and get the work done with the delivery teams too.

The Day to day Develop Group Functions Technology Transformation portfolio delivery strategy. Plan and deliver portfolio of circa 40 projects annually. Manage a team of project managers. Manage portfolio multi-million budget and optimise return on investment. Manage portfolio demands prioritisation aligned to strategic objectives. Provide delivery assurance to technical project managers and across technology delivery teams. Ensure compliance with standards and governance. Be a Technology Delivery Partner for the companywide stakeholders. Provide portfolio reporting and manage portfolio communication companywide. Be a proactive member of Technology Delivery Management team and act as a role model.
