Job summary
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Technology Manager, EMEA Contracting, a hybrid role based in the Leeds area. You will own the contracting technology roadmap and drive analytics, AI, and automation to improve tender management and pricing across the EMEA region.
Lead cross-functional teams with regulatory compliance in mind, translating complex business needs into scalable tech solutions and ensuring alignment with commercial strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in technology product management or related roles.
- Experience with enterprise commercial systems (contracting, pricing, CRM, ERP, tender management) and Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience operating in regulated healthcare/MedTech environments.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for EMEA contracting technology solutions.
- Translate business, legal, and commercial contracting requirements into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to ensure end-to-end contract lifecycle solutions meet business needs.
- Lead Agile delivery by prioritizing work, participating in sprint planning and reviews, and ensuring timely, high-quality releases.
- Lead the application of AI, analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization.
- Monitor product performance through KPIs and user feedback, driving continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes.
- Champion Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives, fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.

The Manager, EMEA Contracting plays a critical role in shaping and delivering commercial contracting technology capabilities that enable compliant, scalable, and efficient contracting processes including tender management across the EMEA region. This role owns the product vision and roadmap for contracting solutions, translates regional commercial needs into prioritized technology outcomes, and partners closely with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain and other Technology Teams. The role is impactful, highly visible, and central to advancing DePuy Synthes’ commercial execution and digital transformation agenda and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization
- Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for EMEA contracting technology solutions, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Translate business, legal, and commercial contracting requirements into clear epics, features, and user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Commercial, Pricing, and Tender Management teams to support tender lifecycle processes, bid governance, and contract execution.
- Partner with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to ensure end‑to‑end contract lifecycle solutions meet business needs and policy standards.
- Lead Agile delivery by prioritizing work,participatingin sprint planning and reviews, and ensuringtimely, high‑quality releases.
- Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and data driven decision making while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations.
- Ensure data integrity, system integration, and scalability across contracting, pricing, and related commercial platforms.
- Manage dependencies and risks across regional and global initiatives, proactively resolving issues that mayimpactdelivery or compliance.
- Monitor product performance through KPIs and user feedback, driving continuousimprovementand measurable business outcomes.

- 6–8 years of progressive experience in technology product management, product ownership, or commercial IT roles, including ownership of enterprise applications.
- Experience working with enterprise commercial systems (e.g., contracting, pricing, CRM, ERP, tender management, and bid management systems), including system integrations, data flows, and Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), supporting commercial operations in a healthcare, MedTech, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting processes, pricing governance, and the ability to translate complex business needs into technology solutions.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams through influence, prioritize competing demands, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Experienceoperatingin regulated environments, ensuring solutions meet compliance, legal, and data‑privacy standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present complex topics clearly.
- Experience supporting EMEA commercial organizations and managing region‑specific regulatory or contracting nuances.
- Prior experience as a Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams, including backlog ownership and release planning.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms and integrations with pricing or finance systems.
- Demonstrated success driving process standardization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working in matrixed, global organizations.
- Languages: Fluent Englishrequired;additionalEuropean languages preferred.
- Travel: Up to 10–20% international travel within EMEA.
- Certifications: Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification preferred.
- Hybrid Working Model: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that employees will work from the office three days per week to support collaboration, team engagement, and business needs.
