Job Overview

This role serves as the senior technology executive and strategic partner to the President of International and the regional leadership teams across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Canada and emerging markets. This leader manages the demand, prioritization and execution of technology and data across the full international value chain—Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D and enabling functions—translating the international growth agenda into differentiated, in‑market outcomes. Acting as the technology interface for the regions, the Sr. Director shapes and prioritizes demand, governs portfolio health, and drives executive decision‑making, as a part of enterprise Technology, to ensure secure, reliable, end‑to‑end technology operations and to keep delivery commitments, risks and dependencies visible and actively managed. The role balances regional needs, market localization, enterprise standards, cybersecurity, compliance, governance and global scalability. Reporting solid‑line into DePuy Synthes Technology leadership with a dotted‑line partnership to the President, International, this is a high‑impact leadership role at the intersection of regional business strategy, end‑to‑end technology execution and portfolio governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-End Technology Strategy & Execution

Act as the end‑to‑end Technology leader for the international region, owning the strategy, prioritization and execution of technology and data across Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D and enabling functions. Coordinate with the global Technology organization, CTO and CISO to ensure secure, resilient and standardized end‑to‑end regional technology execution. Ensure sustained, reliable operations of regional technology ecosystems and data products across the value chain. Drive the business to explore, adopt and deploy digital, data and AI capabilities aligned to regional growth priorities.

Strategic Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as trusted technology advisor to the President, International and the regional Leadership Team, and as a member of the regional leadership cadence. Translate business strategy into Technology and digital roadmaps, investment priorities, governance decisions and value realization plans. Provide executive‑level guidance on simplification, standardization, analytics, automation, AI and innovation. Represent regional needs in enterprise funding, portfolio and roadmap decisions to ensure international priorities are appropriately weighted.

Demand Management, Portfolio Health & Executive Governance

Own regional business technology demand management, intake, prioritization and portfolio health across the full international value chain. Partner with enterprise Technology teams to ensure delivery commitments, risks, dependencies, resourcing and funding are transparent and actively managed—keeping delivery risk visible to regional and enterprise leadership. Lead executive reviews and operating rhythms that drive prioritization decisions, trade‑offs, adoption and value realization. Establish operating rhythms, metrics and dashboards to monitor service quality, technology performance and business satisfaction across regions.

Business Enablement

Enable digital sales, marketing, pricing, channel and customer engagement capabilities across international markets. Lead technology capabilities that improve inventory visibility, demand sensing, forecasting, replenishment, logistics performance and service levels across the region. Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering and R&D teams to modernize operational technology, product lifecycle and new‑product‑introduction capabilities. Improve regional visibility into growth opportunities, market performance, execution gaps, supply reliability and customer trends.

Localization, Harmonization & Enterprise Platforms

Balance local market needs with enterprise standards, scalable platforms and consistent data models. Support localization requirements for language, regulatory, commercial, data and process needs. Drive adoption of enterprise platforms while simplifying regional variation where possible, and partner with the Global Capability Center (GCC) to leverage shared engineering, data and operations capacity for regional delivery.

Infrastructure and support

Partner with DS Technology teams to ensure reliable, secure and scalable regional infrastructure, network, cloud and connectivity that supports business operations across international sites. Own the regional end‑user computing and workplace technology experience—devices, collaboration tools, and service desk performance—driving productivity and high employee satisfaction. Establish service levels, operating rhythms and performance metrics for infrastructure and end‑user services across the region, in partnership with enterprise Technology Services towers. Ensure infrastructure and end‑user environments meet cybersecurity, resilience, business continuity and compliance expectations, with clear Day‑1/Day‑2 readiness for standalone operations.

Data, Governance, Risk & Insights

Deliver executive dashboards and analytics that improve cross‑region decision‑making. Strengthen data quality, governance and accessibility across markets. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, SOX, quality, regulatory and enterprise risk expectations, and drive business continuity, resilience and secure‑by‑design adoption.

Financial & Value Management

Manage assigned technology investments, forecasts, budgets and benefits realization commitments. Develop business cases and funding recommendations with clear trade‑offs, outcomes and return expectations. Provide transparency to cost, scope, timing, value and risk.

Talent, Change & Adoption

Lead through influence across matrixed Technology, business and supplier teams, and manage and develop technology talent across the international region. Build adoption plans, communications, training and business readiness approaches for major initiatives. Coach and develop talent while promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Separation & Standalone Readiness

Own the international technology dimension of separation and standalone readiness, ensuring end‑to‑end regional demand, dependencies and risks are prioritized for Day‑1 and Day‑2 across the value chain. Partner with enterprise Technology, the separation management office and business leaders to sustain continuity of regional business operations through the transition. Manage and provide executive oversight of the international dimension of TSA execution and exit—ensuring commitments, timelines and risks are tracked. Balance standalone build decisions with enterprise standards to avoid regional fragmentation as the standalone operating model takes shape.
