Job summary

Santander UK is seeking a Technology & Operations Risk Manager based in Milton Keynes or Glasgow. The role provides independent oversight of technology and cyber risk, challenging control environments and ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed within appetite.

As a 1LoD professional, you will analyse risk data, drive improvements, and ensure data-driven risk governance across T&O.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cybersecurity risk, IT risk and control frameworks.
Experience with risk tooling and data management software.
Understanding of risk appetite, RCSA, and control testing methodologies.
Familiarity with regulatory expectations (FCA/PRA).
Ability to analyse risk data and identify control weaknesses.

Responsibilities

Provide independent oversight and challenge of Technology & Operations risk in line with risk frameworks.
Review Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) for completeness and robustness.
Ensure quality of Risk & Control Profiles (RCPs) including mapping and residual risk.
Oversee risk data in tooling (e.g., Heracles) and align with risk appetite statements.
Monitor adherence to Risk Appetite Statements and assist breach management.
Challenge control effectiveness and conduct thematic reviews to identify weaknesses.
Produce risk MI and Reporting for governance forums.
Drive governance artefacts and risk engagement improvements across T&O.
