A unique opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 trainee Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic Nuclear Medicine and PET CT team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Current advances in nuclear medicine are dramatically improving patient outcomes. New applications of science underpin modern healthcare, providing opportunities for bright and committed individuals to join a world-class scientific workforce in the NHS.
This post offers comprehensive training across patient imaging, radiopharmaceutical production and administration, and Nuclear Medicine equipment operation and quality assurance programs.
Applicants from any healthcare-related academic background are welcome. Non-traditional entry routes are considered on an individual basis; prior healthcare experience is advantageous. Candidates should typically hold a 2:1 honours degree (or higher) or a vocational award with evidence of further learning. Note that this role is designed as an entry point into nuclear medicine and is not suitable for candidates with a prior nuclear medicine qualification.
Successful candidates will need to be enrolled and ready to start with the University of Salford by September 2025.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A DBS check will be required to assess any criminal convictions.
Salary: £35,964 to £43,780 per annum, inclusive, pro-rata as applicable.
