Job summary

Lonza Slough is seeking a QC Technologist (Method Validation) for a 12-month FTC to generate and document laboratory data, supporting scientific projects in a fully site-based role.

You will work in a laboratory environment, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure GMP/GLP compliance and high-quality results, with opportunities to grow with experience and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and analytical testing per procedures with guidance.
• Plan and deliver project activities to meet timelines and accuracy.
• Analyse and record experimental data for reports and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and investigations for OOS and technical challenges.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventories; ensure GLP/GMP compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

QC Technologist (Method Validation) Duration: 12 Month FTC Location: Slough - This is a lab based role To contribute to scientific projects by generating and documenting laboratory data from experimental work. Progressively taking ownership of the laboratory environment as experience and seniority increases. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do

• Conduct laboratory experiments and analytical testing in accordance with established procedures, with appropriate guidance and support.
• Plan, organise, and deliver assigned project activities to ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Analyse, interpret, and accurately record experimental data, contributing to technical reports, data tables, and project documentation.
• Support troubleshooting activities and participate in out‑of‑specification (OOS) and laboratory investigations to help resolve technical challenges.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces, including routine instrument maintenance, housekeeping activities, and monitoring reagent and consumable inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP/GMP) guidelines where applicable.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross‑functional teams to support the successful delivery of scientific and operational objectives.
