Brief Description

Working in all weathers on the frontline, you'll carry out everything from maintenance to faulting. You'll develop your management skills by deputising for the Team Leader and support the daily upkeep of the rail network to ensure safety and efficiency for passengers and freight.

About the Role

Technicians serve as the vital link between the Team Leader and Operatives, specializing in various disciplines. For this role, you'll become a specialist in track maintenance, inspection, and repair, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the railway infrastructure.

Work is outdoors in all conditions, often involving manual tasks and transportation of equipment across challenging terrain. Safety, teamwork, and adherence to rules are critical, especially when working near high-speed trains.

You will be a natural team player capable of leading when needed, ensuring work is delivered safely, and competencies are maintained. We support your growth with comprehensive training to develop both technical and soft skills, suitable for those transitioning from other industries into rail.

  • Within a 60-minute commute of the location
