Job summary

KONE is seeking an experienced Lift Staff Tester to join our team in the Greater London area. You will be responsible for final safety checks, testing, commissioning and handing over lift systems to customers, while working with installation and project teams to resolve defects quickly and effectively.

The role requires strong lift knowledge, fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities, plus a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out final safety checks and readiness for handover.

Are you an experienced Lift Tester looking for your next opportunity?

What will you be doing?

Your role will include:

• Completing final safety checks and ensuring equipment is ready for handover
• Identifying, diagnosing and resolving technical issues during the testing process
• Working closely with installation teams, supervisors and project colleagues to resolve defects efficiently
• Completing testing documentation and ensuring accurate records are maintained (typo corrected)li>
• Supporting the delivery of projects to the required safety, quality and programme standards
• Providing technical guidance and sharing your expertise with colleagues
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with KONE’s health and safety procedures
• Testing and commissioning lifts in line with KONE procedures.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with strong technical lift knowledge who takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience testing and commissioning lifts
• A strong technical understanding of lift systems, electrical systems and associated equipment
• Relevant lift engineering qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A thorough understanding of lift safety and compliance requirements
• The confidence to work independently and make technical decisions
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams
• A full UK driving licence

Experience working across different lift manufacturers or technologies would be an advantage.
