An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, punctual, experienced vehicle Technician / MOT tester to join our friendly, busy team at our SEAT & Mazda dealership in Middlesbrough.

Salary negotiable depending on experience and skill set.

Main Duties

• Using tools and computer software to diagnose and repair vehicles
• Being able to work with a team.
• Being able to explain technical issues to other people.
• Being able to work on different projects at the same time.
• Having organisational abilities.

• Having advanced problem-solving abilities to find technical problems.
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing.
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition.
• Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
• Completing all documentation to the required standard.
