Wayland Academy in Watton, Norfolk, is seeking an ICT Technician to install, maintain and support the school’s IT resources, delivering reliable service and user-friendly solutions for teaching and admin staff. The role requires strong hardware and software knowledge, good communication and problem solving, and a willingness to travel to other schools as directed by the Central IT Team.
Working hours are 8:30–16:30, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week), 52 weeks per year, with an October 2026
Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale D: £25,583 - £25,989 per annum
Full Time: 37 hours per week

This role will mainly be based at Wayland Academy, Merton Rd, Watton, Thetford, IP25 6BA, however the successful candidate must be able to travel independently to multiple locations, as you may need to support or cover other schools from time to time as directed by the Central IT Team.
Working hours will normally be between 8:30 and 16:30 Monday to Friday. You may be required to work flexible hours for Ofsted inspections and out of hours activities as agreed with the school.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of hardware and software, as well as good communication and problem-solving skills. You should take pride in responding quickly and effectively to all support requirements and take an open approach to help everyone get the best out of the school’s IT Systems. You will also have a passion for continuous learning, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
