Job summary

The Manchester College is recruiting a part-time Catering Technician to join our Wythenshawe campus. You will support practical lessons, help prepare ingredients, and assist with setting up professional kitchen equipment to keep classes running smoothly.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with catering experience who enjoys working with young people and thrives in a fast-paced training environment. You will contribute to a safe, organised learning space.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 English & Mathematics is required.
  • First Aid qualification is desirable or progress towards it within the first year.
  • Industry qualification relevant to the specialist function may be required.
  • Specific relevant industry experience is expected.
  • Specific relevant specialist skill is needed.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually and meet deadlines.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Wythenshawe campus to join our Service and Retails Industries Department as a Technician (Catering) on a permanent, part‑time (17.5 hours per week), term‑time only basis (42 weeks).
