Job summary

Breedon Group seeks a detail-oriented Technician to perform high-quality testing of aggregates, concrete, asphalt and soils. You will conduct laboratory and field testing to verify materials meet specifications and standards, supporting QA/QC processes.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset who can work in both lab and field environments. You will contribute to problem solving, continuous improvement and safe working practices within a collaborative team at Cloud Hill

Qualifications

• Experience in a testing, laboratory or construction materials environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and quality control processes.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform factory production control activities and maintain test rates.
• Accurately record and report test data to QA/QC teams.
• Identify trends and quality concerns and support issue resolution.
• Assist customer site visits and investigate complaints with technical input.
• Keep technical records up to date and maintain a safe workspace.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Technician to perform high-quality testing and analysis of construction materials such as aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and soils. The role involves conducting laboratory and site-based testing to ensure materials meet required specifications and standards. You will support quality assurance and control processes, helping to maintain the integrity and compliance of materials used in construction or production.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a passion for working in both lab and field environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing factory production control activities. Responsible for ensuring FPC test rates are upheld.
• Accurately record and report test data.
• To identify trends and quality concerns.
• Support operational and sales teams through technical expertise.
• Complete assigned projects and testing activities on time.
• Investigate issues and contribute to problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate technical records.
• Assist with customer site visits and complaint investigation.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Complete inspections and safety observations.
• Escalate hazards, incidents and non-compliance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience working within a testing, laboratory or construction materials environment.
